Trainer Job Description

Title: Trainer

Reports to: Field Manager / Operations Manager

Basic Function: Welcome new employees making them feel like part of the Raleigh Cleaning Company family. "Orientate" them to the company culture- this is one of the most important functions. Train them in the methods, products, and equipment we use to clean clients homes AND get glowing feedback/reviews from clients all at the same time. 

Wage: Starting wage (ability to make up to $22/hr for experienced trainers) is $17/hr when training- either 1 or 2 people. There is no training bonus for "retraining" existing technicians.

Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Availability +  Time for Equipment Responsibilities (Must be done before 7:30AM, afternoons when cars are back or on the weekend estimating 2 hours a week)

Responsibilities

Cleaning and Assisting in Managing Field Staff: 

  • Leading team members to be successful by continuously coaching and updating team members on their performance
  • Quality Checking Homes as needed

The Trainer will have all the duties of a Cleaning Technician plus the added responsibility of sometimes having a trainee to work with. 

Trainers will have a full schedule of regular, recurring clients. They will work one-on-one with trainees for a maximum of 2 weeks. It is important that the training manager follow the system as outlined and do not "freestyle" or deviate. 

It is the Trainer's responsibility to hold trainees accountable to the Raleigh Cleaning Company standard and there is no benefit to letting things slide during training "to be nice" or for any other reason as small issues now will become big issues in the future.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Be firm, yet kind with trainees. 
  • Follow the training system - exactly. 
  • Know all policies and procedures so you can answer the trainees questions accurately. 
  • Help them to understand what is and is not acceptable. 
  • Teach them how to interact with management and when it is necessary. 
  • Demonstrate how to interact with clients to get the best outcome. 
  • Teach trainee exactly what Raleigh Cleaning Company does and does not do for each service type. 
  • There may be the possibility that you will have to let a trainee go that isn't cutting it. This will be done with admin approval and help. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 90 Days as a Cleaning Tech
  • Reliable, 4-wheeled vehicle
  • Valid license and auto insurance
  • Cell phone with ability to run apps with 0.5 G Data a Month
  • Pass written and verbal tests

Skills and Abilities

  • Organization
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs or more
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel 
  • Reasoning skills
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking English
